A royal cradle, lent by Queen Elizabeth, has been adorned with blue satin bows. New details have been released about the temporary nursery that has been set up at Buckingham Palace.

Princess Elizabeth, Duchess of Edinburgh, expects her first child between November 13 and November 18. The cradle, once used by the princess herself, is "fitted with head curtains and trimmed with peach satin under a deep cream net with frills. The bows are fastened to this net cover." A cream-painted stand holds the cradle in place.

A wicker basket next to the cradle is filled with baby items. A wicker sleeping basket, known as a Moses cot, has also been placed in the nursery. This cot has already been used by the Duke of Gloucester and by Princess Elizabeth and her younger sister, Margaret.

The Princess has also "treasured carefully" some of her childhood toys, which will now be played with by the new royal baby. The nursery has been set up in the Palace's former school room, where Elizabeth and Margaret learned their lessons. The princess and her husband and their new baby will spend Christmas at Sandringham House and then return to Windlesham Manor.

The family will continue to live at Windlesham until Clarence House is ready for occupancy. Princess Elizabeth has accepted two full layettes from the Linen and Woolen Drapers Institution and the Nursery Nurses Association. She sees her doctor, William Gilliatt every day.

Dr. Gilliatt expected to move into Buckingham Palace a few days before the expected birth.
