Anarchists threaten life of Württemberg queen

The security of Queen Charlotte of Württemberg is under review, according to the Associated Press. Based on reports in the Bohemian newspaper, the queen, who is staying with her father, Prince Wilhelm of Schaumburg-Lippe at his estate, Nachrod, in Bohemia, "has received anarchist letters threatening her with death." The appropriate precautions have been taken.
The police began their investigation into the threats against the queen after a member of her suite received anonymous letters threatening Queen Charlotte's life.

Queen Charlotte married King Wilhelm II of Württemberg in 1886. The couple has no children, although the King has one daughter, Pauline, by his first wife, Princess Marie of Waldeck und Pyrmont. Pauline is married to the Prince of Wied.
