January 10, 1951

The official announcement of the engagement of Archduke Otto of Austria and Princess Regina Helena Elisabeth Margarete of Saxe-Meiningen was announced today. The actual betrothal took place last month, and the wedding will take place in France in May, according to the AP report.

Archduke Otto is currently on a trip and is expected to be in Paris soon. He and his fiancee spent Christmas in Bavaria with Regina's mother, Duchess Klara.

Regina was educated in Catholic schools, and after the war, she took "courses in theology and philosophy at the University of Bamberg."
